Donate your old clothes.
We usually notify the community whenever we have some clothes to be distributed. All those who are interested visit our office and get any item that suits them, of course free of charge. This distribution is on average taking place once per month. So anytime you have pants which you do not like, or a jacket which you think is not stylish anymore, just think you can do with it much more than keeping it in the closet!
Donate what you do not need.
We do not want you to donate money, especially in these days. There are however many other ways you can donate. If you have an old tv or radio, even if not working properly, or if you have old furniture, toys for your kids, accessories you don’t use, and generally anything you don’t need, we can collect them from your door. IRTIWA will sell these items and use their proceeds to buy food and medicines for low-income families. Like this, you will be contributing without incurring any costs and assisting others who otherwise wouldn’t have food to put on the table.
Donate food.
If you are shopping or doing the grocery for your family, you may want to buy an extra item or two in order to give them away. There is no need to buy huge quantities of sugar, milk, rice or the like. Perhaps one kilogram would be enough, because we are counting on small private initiatives to help other survive. You can drop anything you want by our office, or you can call us and we can collect it. Whatever makes your life easier.
Pay a tuition.
Many families are having their children dropping out mainly because they cannot afford to pay their tuition anymore. Believe it or not, sometimes it is a public school and the tuition is below on million LBP per year. We have many families who register these needs and we wait on donors in order to support them. But please note that we usually ask here for a small extra effort, and this is that the donor pays himself the tuition fees directly to the relevant educational institution as we are committed to full transparency and would also like him to feel more engagement at this level.
Donate time.
This simply means that you can volunteer! You can sit at our office during certain hours and assist us, and you can also visit houses, registering needs, arrange food baskets, distribute foods on distribution days, etc. We also welcome all ideas and suggestions so that we improve our work, so if you have time just call us or pass by!
